Pottery

Our pottery is so lyrical it makes mountains cry. You could say... this is something we made up.

Pottery by:
Paul Rozman
Lori Lautermilch

Handmade pottery and ceramic art by not always mature but adult Canadian artists.

Paul Rozman

Handmade stoneware wheel-thrown on the potter's wheel. Highlights include: functional tableware and decorative pottery.

pottery page by Paul Rozman

Pottery is deceitfully simple in its makeup. In addition to skill, informed simplicity requires sophistication, self control, and thoughtfulness. Essentially, we are what we like and it boils down to liquid or concentrate.

Lori Lautermilch

Decorative and functional hand build pottery.

pottery by Lori Lautermilch

Lori has a deep connection to nature. Primarily, she looks to flowers, plants and trees, for her source of inspiration. Lines, movement, and shapes are what presently lead her discoveries. Working in clay is her single most peaceful and fulfilling activity.

Jim Norton hot glass

Jim Norton studied art and glassblowing at the Alberta College of Art  and Design in Calgary, and Pilchuk Glass School in Stanwood, Washington. Each and every  object he produces is one-of-a-kind,  made with molten glass at 2000° F then slowly cooled down to room temperature, then polished and signed. His glass is exhibited and published  internationally with the most notable entry in "The Survey of Glass of the World", Kyuryudo Art Publishing Co. of Tokyo, Japan.

Jim Norton's superior skill and artistic expression hasn't gone unnoticed by art lovers and collectors alike. Some important collections include: Petro Canada, Calgary; Gift from the city of Calgary to Queen Elizabeth of England; Gift from the city of Calgary to Governor General of Canada, Ray Hnatyshyn; Charles R. Bronfman Collection, (Claridge)

Mike Neufeld woodturner extraordinaire

Mike Neufeld's long career encompasses all aspects of the wood working industry. After his retirement from logging, his interest in wood was exclusively focused on woodturning. His current work is a combination of his passion for well-crafted objects and a life long eye for the beauty of native burl and root configurations. Mike finds inspiration in the native trees of British Columbia like figured Maple and Western Yew. In addition he adds exotic wood of Central American species to create interest and contrast in his unique works of art.
