My work explores both the traditional and a personal investigation of unifying form and decoration in pottery. I do this by using strong and simple forms with a decoration that visually animates the surface. My aim is to unify the form and decoration in a way that imparts a feeling of joy. I achieve this by using rhythmic shift of colour and patterns.

My pottery is functional, lead-free and safe for use with food. You can safely use it in a microwave and or a conventional oven. Be careful though about taking any pottery from the refrigerator/freezer to a hot oven. It will cause thermal shock or cracking.

From year to year, the forms I create, their surface treatment, and my intent may change, but the basic need to produce a useful object remains the same: my work is usually vessel oriented with a specific function intended. A well conceived vessel has the ability to increase our aesthetic appreciation of that which it contains.
